Abstract The VLEO satellites, that are orbiting at an altitude of 200-300 km and provide advantages for high-resolution Earth observation atmospheric science, becoming important not only but also agriculture, forestry, oceans observations, military, national security the future satellite businesses. We evaluated, first time, performance defined erosion yields (Ey) a selected number main space hydrocarbon, fluorinated, perfluorinated polymers in ground-based simulator facility conditions, imitating LEO environments. compared results with data previously established predictive model, developed composites environment. obtained indicated model can be extended used, some corrections predictions
